1. Horrible
We bought one and that one stopped heating up.. So I went and bought another one and first right off the bat the knob fell off and withing a couple weeks it stopped heating up as well.. They have a mind of their own -- soemtiems they heat but usually they stop fairly quickly.. They had a lot of returns.. Don't waste your time!!!

2. This Heater is Good...
I seen the other review but, I still bought it and it is a good heater. You can adjust the temp to blow however you want. It does shut off only if you set it on low. I like the heater because it blows heat... :)

1. amazing heater
This heater must be the most practical thing I have bought in a while. The apartment complex I live in has central heating with a central control and my room is way too cold for it to be comfortable. On very cold days I had to even wear socks and layer up while going to bed.

However this small heater has proved very useful - it heats up my relatively large room very quickly even on the lower setting and as the product description indicates its plastic design ensures that the heater is cool to the touch just in case you wanted to move it around. As there is a fan there is some noise involved, equivalent to a quiet table fan. However this is an added bonus for me as I love the added white noise.

Other things - the power cord is approx. 2 meters long; the heater itself looks nice and nifty with its grey casing and small size.

2. Simple little heater
PROS
* Sturdy
* Heats-up quickly
* Strong fan
* Very portable (about the roundness of a football and only about 2 inches shorter)
* Practical and useful

CONS
* There really aren't any cons. It's just a low-cost, well-built, heater with few bells and whistles.

NOTE: This is NOT a heater that you want to stick under your desk if you are in an enclosed office. Remember, it pumps out 1500w of heat and is intended to heat a ROOM, not just your toes.

Good Little Heater
This heater works well for one medium sized room (with doors closed). I use it in my bedroom, and it helps take the chill out. I don't feel any difference in the '1' and '2' settings. At least I can't tell any difference between them. It's a good product for the price and still works fine after using for a couple months. I would recommend product.

1. Good fan for the money
I wanted an inexpensive haust fan to remove smoke from the room. This does the job and the noise is minimal. I would buy again if all you want is a simple fan that does the job without breaking the bank.

2. Twin Window Fan by Lasko
I thought this was going to help my life be easier, to draw the cool air into the room, or vent the hot air out of the room.

I have to turn the fan in the window, front to back, etc. It does not lock into the window, I actually have had to place a large planted pot in front of it to keep it steady and not falling over. Would I buy this specific fan....no. I do think there is another fan that gives you the options of having the fan blow into the room or out of the room, just by turning a dial.

Oh yes, when having to turn the fan, its hard to hold onto, and often slips out of my hands. Cumbersome.

1. Cool and Quiet
My wife calls this a "man's fan" because it comes with a remote control. The remote is a cool touch, but not what makes this product (or set of products) great. The fans are quiet, unintrusive and feature rich.

First, the fans are supprisingly quiet. They provide enough white noise for falling asleep, but no so much that they become distraction. (A set of Sony MDR-NC6 Noise Canceling Headphones wil block them right out if you're listening to music.) The oscillation is generally quiet. After a year of near constant use, I can only detect a slight rattle if I pay close attention.

Second, the fans have a very small, but stable, footprint. I hate the protruding legs on standing fans. The larger fan can stand just about anywhere in a room without a leg for someone to trip on. The smaller fan sits nicely on a shelf or desk. Mine sits next to my monitor at work. I also hate how top-heavy...

2. Good product, excellent Customer Service
We bought this set several years ago and they have been wonderful. You do need to clean out the dust to keep them whisper quiet and not to strain the parts, but you should do that for all fans. However, after my 3 year old decided to use at as a leaning post, she broke the main fan off of the base. It was also, obviously, out of warranty. It was a part that was easily replaceable, but it was not listed on the site. I called them on the 800 number and told them what had happened and they sent me the replacement part without any fuss or charge. They were fast and efficient and kept another fan out of the land fills.

Nice to see a company that actually takes care of their customers without having to jump through hoops to take care of the smallest thing!

This fan combo is a godsend for the Summer
My review is going to be much shorter than the one in front of me.

This fan combo works.

My wife and I have had it for a year and have not been disappointed by its output and ease of use. We bought one set, loved it so much that we turned around to buy a 2nd pair and couldn't find it anywhere. The were sold out at every place I checked. It took 2 weeks to find another one, and even then I had to time my visit to the local Costco to coincide with the arrival of the fans. They were selling out as soon as they hit the floor. If that doesn't say enough about their appeal I don't know what does.

The small fan is perfect for smaller spaces, like on a kitchen counter or on the desk in the office. We keep them running at low speeds during the day to keep our 3 cats from getting hot and they work great. When I come home I usually find 1 cat lying in front of the big fan in the living room.

Pros:

Cons:

Thermostat is not as accurate as I like

Not good for "spot" heating, like warming up just the rocking chair area when watching TV.

This heater suits best for heating up small, enclosed spaces (about 14x14sq.ft.). I use it in my bedroom and the result is great.

The air outlet velocity is low and non vectorized by design. It relies on low velocity, de-facto free, convection as a prime source of heat transfer. This mode of heating carries an advantage for not drying skin (Example, a typical hot-air blowing heater acts like a hair dryer!), and heat very evenly within a small area. Thus make this a bad choice for "spot" heating.

Advice the last person who gave this machine a bad rating. You are like complaining about a Toyota...

2. Does what I need it to
This little unit works very well in my bedroom and heats up very quickly just on the low setting. In the living room I've used it on the high setting and it also works pretty quickly. I use this unit when I am the only one who is cold and don't want to use the central heat. I really like the option to use 360/ front function and the thermostat capability. As per the directions, you turn on the unit with the thermostat on full heat and when the temperature is as hot as you want you slowly turn it down until the unit clicks off. Then it will automatically shut on and off to keep that temperature. My only complaint, which is why I didn't rate the unit 5 stars, is that it is too noisy for me. I mostly wanted this unit for nighttime use and when the unit clicks on and off it wakes me up.

Quick, Hot, and Safe
I plugged this in yesterday for the first time. It seems very safe. The ON nob has a childproof turn system. At the hottest temperatures I can still pick the heater up by the metal grate. Most impressive is how fast it heats up. As soon as it turned on I felt a lot of heat, as if it arrives from the factory with hot air waiting to blow out upon first use. It has a little bit of the "heater odor", like when you turn the heat in the car way up. It heat my room up really fast, but it's a small-medium sized room. I looked around a lot for heaters and read a lot of reviews. This one worked out perfectly for me; I am very happy with my choice.

1. Perfect for Under the Desk!
I have a furnace heat register under my desk that always starts with cooler air before the warm comes out. When the furnace isn't running, my feet get cold and uncomfortable. This was the perfect size for me to use under my desk to keep that space warm (and it radiates up to my hands as well since it really gets my general work area warm.

This is not a huge direct heat product. I've used a heat dish which could almost give you sunburn. This is perfect for getting the chill out of the air without using up a lot of energy. I calculated it to cost about 26 cents a day if you run it for 10 hours (which I don't).

It does have a shut off if it gets too hot (according to the directions) but it looses a star for not having a shut off if it tips over. I don't want to test it out but if it gets knocked over with the heat face down, I'd be afraid of something burning before it could shut off.

Overall, a great little solution for any cold spot.
